의정부지검 고양지청은 30일 자신의 차량에서 필로폰을 투약한 혐의로 현역 국회의원 사촌인 박모(62.남)씨를 구속했다.
보석유통업에 종사하는 박씨는 지난 2009년 1월 부산 해운대구 중동 도로가에 자신의 벤츠 승용차를 세워놓고 차량 안에서 필로폰 0.1그램을 투약하는 등 총 3차례에 걸쳐 필로폰을 투약한 혐의를 받고 있다.
현역 여성 중진 의원의 사촌오빠인 박씨는 과거에도 마약 투약으로 처벌 받은 전과가 있으며 집행유예 기간에 필로폰에 손을 댔다.
박씨가 필로폰을 투약했던 승용차는 지난 2002년쯤 사촌인 국회의원으로부터 소유권이 이전된 것으로 알려졌다.
검찰은 지난해 필로폰을 함께 투약한 이씨 등 2명으로부터 관련 진술을 확보하고 박씨 추적에 나섰지만 박씨가 휴대폰을 정지시키고 잠적해 기소중지했다.
그러나 지난 3월 중순 일시정지한 박씨의 휴대폰 신호가 부산 인근에서 잡히면서 검찰은 잠복근무를 통해 박씨를 체포했다.
검찰은 박씨를 상대로 필로폰 투약 경위와 구입처, 공범 여부 등을 확인하고 있다.
